A homeowner from Hudson, WI, was growing more frustrated with sinking concrete slabs in front of his home. More than being a nasty trip hazard, the sinking concrete was impacting his curb appeal. Wanting to fix the issue, he began the search for a company that could help him fix the issue. Once Gary finished his walkthrough, he informed the homeowner that concrete sinking is fairly normal and can occur for various reasons. He went on to say that American Waterworks could address the sinking by using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. Once the concrete has been lifted, our team will go in with our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that gets applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete The homeowner liked the sound of the plan, and the work was scheduled for a few weeks later.

Justin L. of Vermillion, MN was looking for an estimate for raising the concrete apron by his garage. A homeowner in Lakeland, MN, noticed their sidewalk was a mess. Knowing this could become a tripping hazard, the homeowners wanted to have this resolved. The homeowners did not want to replace their entire sidewalk, so they searched for a repair option. Gary determined that the sidewalk was sinking and causing all the issues. Gary recommended that the sidewalk be lifted and leveled to even it all out. First, the crew inserted the PolyLevel underneath the sinking sidewalk. Once the sidewalk was lifted to the appropriate level, the crew shifted their focus to replacing the old joints. To replace the joints, the crew utilized the NexusPro Joint Sealant. After all the new joints were filled, the crew could clean up their materials and leave the home. The job took roughly two hours, and John was able to see the transformation almost immediately because once the foam is injected it takes only 30 minutes to cure.
