Sunken Concrete Stairs Get a Lift in Plymouth, MN

A homeowner in Plymouth, MN, was growing more and more frustrated with the concrete in front of her house. Her concrete stairs leading up to her front door were beginning to sink, creating a trip hazard and an eyesore. Not wanting to sacrifice safety or curb appeal, the homeowner decided to begin researching companies in the area that could help. When she came across our website, she decided to take advantage of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Daniel R, headed out to the home.

Once Daniel completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give her his recommendation. He informed her that American Waterworks could address the sinking with our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting concrete back into place. Daniel went on to say that we finished our lifting process with the installation of our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied directly to the cracks and joints in the slab being lifted, preventing unwanted elements from permeating the slab. The homeowner agreed with the proposed work and the job was scheduled for a month later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Sam K, and his team were able to complete the lift to our customer's satisfaction. Now our homeowner can rest easy knowing her curb appeal and safety have been restored!

Sinking Sidewalk Lifted in Plymouth, MN

A homeowner in Plymouth, MN had an uneven sidewalk and was worried that it was a tripping hazard. She decided it was best to address the issue right away rather than wait, so she started searching for concrete lifting services in the area. She found our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to assess the sidewalk. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of a sinking sidewalk is soil compaction and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, the soil beneath the concrete expands and contracts, causing the concrete slab to sink and heave. For this reason, our Design Specialist suggested our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. The homeowner was grateful for his explanation and decided to move forward with the project.

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The concrete is lifted by first drilling small holes into the slab. Then, the injection ports and installed, and PolyLevel is injected beneath the concrete slab. Once it has been lifted the crew will ensure that it is leveled before sealing the small holes with concrete. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. Once they were done, they cleaned their equipment and left the home.

Sunken Patio Repaired in Cleveland, MN

Dave P. in Cleveland, MN noticed his patio concrete had settled and was uneven in a couple of spots. He was unhappy with the way it looked and wanted it completely level and to have the cracks sealed. After researching concrete repair contractors and receiving estimates, he decided to have American Waterworks repair his concrete.

Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete to inject a polymer foam called PolyLevel. Once the foam is injected into the concrete, the foam expands and raises it. They injected the foam into multiple spots in patio until the concrete was raised and level to its original position. Then, they caulked and sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. The process only took a couple of hours, and Dave was very pleased with the results!
