Our Foreman, Hugo, and his production team installed three of our 5-7' SmartJacks, which are designed to restore the stability and straightness of sagging floor joists and corrects problems such as sloping, interior wall cracks, and uneven door frames. Adam W. in Mabel, MN had a cracked basement wall that had gotten worse over the course of just a few months. His block foundation had a large horizontal crack and it was starting to bow. He was concerned about the pressure it was putting on the foundation of his home, so he gave American Waterworks a call for a FREE estimate.
We sent one of our Design Specialists, Michael Radosevich, to inspect Adam’s foundation problem and to design a solution. Michael answered Adam’s questions and addressed his concerns before designing a unique proposal that would best fit his needs. Adam was pleased with the proposal that Michael presented to him, so they scheduled a date for the installation.
Our production team installed 4 wall anchors through the cracked wall in his basement. The anchor rods are drilled deep into the soil out side of the home and wall plates are installed on either end of the rod to secure the anchor. Then, they tighten the anchor which begins the process of straightening the wall. Our wall anchors permanently stabilized Adam’s foundation wall, and our anchors are backed by a lifetime warranty, so Adam can rest easy knowing that he chose the right solution to repair his foundation.

A customer from Blair, WI got in touch with us when he began to notice one of his basement walls was beginning to show signs of movement, a symptom of the first stage of wall failure. He knew that if he waited, the problem could result in serious damage to the structural integrity of the home. When he called in, we set him up with a FREE estimate with one of our Design Specialists, Dustin. When Dustin headed out to the property, he completed a thorough inspection of the issue and then made recommendations as to how we could help. He recommended the use of our GeoLock wall anchors to fix the issue. He explained that our anchors work to permanently stabilize the wall by anchoring the walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation of the home. He went on to say that once installed, the anchors can be tightened over time to move with the home. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Production crew led by our Foreman, Jose, ended up installing 6 of our GeoLock anchors around the perimeter of the basement. Once the job was completed, our customer was happy to know that he no longer had to worry about his compromised basement wall!
A Winona, MN, homeowner had been keeping an eye on his basement wall for some time now. He had been aware of a large crack running the length of one of the walls and was ready to find a solution. He took to the internet to search for 'structural foundation repair near me' and quickly found our website. He was impressed with the other foundation repair jobs we had completed in his area and decided to claim his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Michel R, was headed out to the home.
Michel's inspection was scheduled for 3 hours, during which time he inspected the basement, the basement walls, and the exterior of the home. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations and answer any questions he had. Michel began by saying that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from the top, not the side. So when the pressure on the side of a wall exceeds what it can withstand, homeowners will commonly see cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom of the wall, and/or tiling inward at the top. Michel reassured the homeowner that while the diagnosis might seem a bit scary, he had just the solution to fix the problem: our PowerBrace system. Michel explained that these steel I-beams will stabilize the wall in its current position without any further adjustments. Over time, the PowerBraces can be tightened to make bowing or tilting walls straighter and more vertical. The homeowner loved the idea of having a system that could move through the home's various stages of life and signed on the spot.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Diego B, and his team successfully installed 2 PowerBraces on the problem wall, restoring our customer's trust in her home!
