Jeremy, from Altoona, WI, got in contact with us when he noticed a crack in the foundation of his home was worsening over time. He was afraid that if he didn't fix the issue, water would begin to enter through the crack, causing expensive damage to his home. Our Design Specialist, Chuck, headed out to the property to inspect the damage and see how we could help Jeremy. Once Chuck completed his walkthrough, he recommended our helical piers to address the failing foundation. He explained that our helical piers have helical plates welded to the pier shaft, helping to pull the pier into the soil during installation and provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation or structural element is transferred to the pier. They have a great deal of versatility for stabilizing and restoring foundation or masonry elements. Chuck wanted to address any further structural issues with our GeoLock wall anchors. Our Foreman, Jose, and his crew ended up installing 10 helical piers along the Northern part of the wall. The crew installed 5 GeoLock anchors along the same wall and finished the job by sealing the crack forming in the foundation to keep unwanted water out.
