Carla C.'s foundation wall was cracking horizontally and bowing slightly. She went on Google, hoping to find a local contractor that could help her. She came across American Waterworks and our foundation repair products, so she scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Mac. Mac went to Carla's house, inspected the foundation wall, and determined the solution of our Wall Anchor System. Carla was comfortable and confident with Mac's presentation, so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his production crew installed five of our wall anchors, which are heavy-duty galvanized earth anchors that are embedded into stable soil outside of the foundation wall. Each anchor is connected by a long, steel rod to a wall plate that provides pressure against the inside of the wall. This system provides the potential to straighten the wall back to its natural position. To complete the project, our Foreman gave a thorough walkthrough with Carla, ensuring she was happy and comfortable with the final product!

Ken H. in Osseo, WI had two walls in his basement that were cracked and bowing inward. He was concerned that the bowing walls were putting a lot of pressure on his foundation, and he wanted to have it taken care of before it got worse. Chad recommended that we install wall anchors to permanently stabilize his walls and Ken agreed, so they scheduled the installation.

Our production team installed 9 walls anchors along the two bowing walls. The anchors provide stability to the wall because they are drilled deep into the soil surrounding the home. The anchors also start to straighten the wall and the anchors can continue to be tightened over time, if need be. A homeowner in Cresco, IA, knew it was time to have a professional inspect their bowing and cracked foundation. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner asked their friends, who had a similar issue, for any recommendations. The friend referred them to work with us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look at our services. The homeowner was impressed with our work, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, we sent Brady, one of our Design Specialists, to take a closer look. Brady arrived at the home and began his detailed inspection of the basement. During his inspection, Brady discovered the south foundation wall bowing significantly and needed to be permanently stabilized. Brady presented his proposal to the homeowner and they agreed with his plan. Next, Brady passed the proposal to the office to be finalized. Once they were given the final stamp of approval, the plans were assigned to our Foreman, Raul, and his crew to begin the project. Raul and his crew traveled to the home and started by installing four GeoLock Wall anchors along the south foundation wall. Once the GeoLock Wall Anchors were secured, the crew installed 7 CarbonArmor strips along the east and west walls. Once both products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the basement better than they arrived. The homeowner was given peace of mind knowing this basement was properly stabilized. Next, Brady passed the plans along to the office to build the project, and then to our crew. Once the crew arrived, they began the project. First, the crew began by installing seven GeoLock Wall Anchors along the south basement wall. After the GeoLock anchors were secured, the crew shifted their focus to outside the home. The crew installed SilverGlo on the outside south foundation walls. Once all the products were properly secured, the crew could clean up their materials and leave the home. James from Stanley, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice the walls of his shed were beginning to show signs of cracking, indicating wall failure. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would face more serious wall failure down the road or water intrusion from the cracks. A few weeks after the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Chuck, headed out to the property to see what could be done to help fix the issue. Once he completed his walkthrough, he had a few recommendations. First, he wanted to use our Geo-Lock Channel Anchors and GeoLock Anchors to fix the cracking wall. He explained to James that our wall anchors are designed to be quick, with minimal disturbance to your home or landscaping. He went on to say that the Channel Anchors would immediately stabilize walls pushing in at the bottom by connecting to an earth anchor embedded in the soil. He then said that our GeoLock anchors help the bowing walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew ended up installing 4 channel anchors as well as 13 of our GeoLock anchors around the perimeter of the shed as well as an unattached boathouse. Now James can have peace of mind knowing his shed's foundation will be stable for years to come.
