Our Foreman and his crew began the installation by putting block wood over the cracked foundation and inserting five long, metal rods into the wall and tightening and screwing a wall anchor to each rod. This system stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed soil beyond the foundation. After the installation, the wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten the wall and pull it back to its original position.

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his crew started installing our waterproofing system by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed our TripleSafe sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system along the walls. The combination of these waterproofing products ensure that water will be properly discharged from her basement and that it will remain a dry and healthier space. Then, they installed 5 PowerBraces along the damaged foundation wall to halt any further movement and stabilize it. PowerBraces also provide the potential to straighten the wall as they are tightened over time. Melissia was pleased with the results and is glad she chose to invest in the protection of her home.

Mrs. H of Mason City, IA had cracked foundation walls in her basement and she was worried about the stability and structural hold of her home. She got in touch with our office and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to her home, carefully inspected her foundation walls, and drew up a solution that worked for her and her needs. Mrs. H was confident in our proposal, so she moved forward with the project and scheduled a date for the installation. 

Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his production team began the project by digging six holes outside of the home, beyond the foundation. Next, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of each rod, our team installed an anchor plate to hold the rod in place. From the inside of the basement, our team installed a GeoLock Wall Anchor on each rod to stabilize the foundation wall. This combination allows the wall to straighten back into its original position. To complete the installation, our team backfilled the holes, packed the dirt with soil, and ensured the yard looked better than when they found it. Mrs. H had a wonderful experience and was very satisfied with the work that was done!

A homeowner in Mason City, IA, discovered large horizontal cracks on their foundation walls. Concerned by this discovery, the homeowner decided they wanted a professional to take a look. Overwhelmed by all their options, the homeowner asked their neighbors if they had any recommendations. The neighbor recommended working with us, American Waterworks. After he inspected the basement, Eric discovered that the cracks were caused by hydrostatic pressure. To stop the walls from bowing in further, Eric suggested the walls be permanently stabilized with GeoLocks, our innovative wall anchoring system. After thinking about their options, the homeowner agreed with Eric's suggestions. The plans were assigned to our Formean, Crescencio, and his crew. When the crew arrived, they began by mapping out where the 10 GeoLocks would be secured. Then, they began installing four GeoLocks on the west and six GeoLocks on the north foundation wall. Once the GeoLocks were properly secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was at ease knowing their foundation was saved from possible failure.
