A homeowner in Bird Island, MN, grew concerned regarding the large cracks in their foundation walls. Instead of ignoring the issue, the homeowner searched for a permanent solution to the issue. After comparing many foundation repair companies, the homeowners decided to work with American Waterworks. The homeowners called our Appointment Center and set up their FREE estimate. After the appointment details were finalized, Ryan, one of our Design Specialist, traveled to the home to begin his inspection. Following his detailed inspection, Ryan recommended to the homeowner that the wall be permanently stabilized. The homeowners understood the risk of not solving the issue, so they agreed with Ryan's suggestions. Ryan sent his plans to the assigned crew and production began. Our Foreman, Hugo, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the stabilization process. The crew installed fourteen Geo-Lock anchors on the south and east walls. After the Geo-Locks were properly installed, the crew moved on to installing five strips of CarbonArmor on the west wall. Once Hugo and the crew completed their job, they cleaned up the job site and left the home. The homeowners were impressed by the job done by the crew. American Waterworks loves assisting homeowners in accomplishing their projects and goals.
Marcus D. in Storden, MN had two cracked foundation walls in his basement and he also had water seeping in. Marcus began to seek advice and one of his friends recommended us since they previously enjoyed the work we did for them. Marcus trusted his friend’s opinion, so he called us to come out for a FREE estimate.
Our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton, went to his home to evaluate the problem and find a solution for him. Eric developed a thorough plan to waterproof his basement and to stabilize his foundation. Marcus was pleased with the proposal, so they scheduled the installation.
Our crew installed 12 Geo-Lock wall anchors along two walls in the basement. Once the anchors were in place and tightened, the walls were straightened and permanently stabilized. To waterproof his Marcus' basement, our team installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system which guides water to his SuperSump sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Our wall anchors and our waterproofing system are backed by a lifetime warranty, so Marcus has peace of mind that his basement is permanently protected.

Joe V. of Brewster, MN had bowing foundation walls in his basement that were getting worse. He heard that American Waterworks does Free Estimates so he gave us a call. We sent out our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas, to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. After a thorough inspection and written proposal going over our GeoLock Anchor Foundation Repair System, which offers a 25-year warranty and is one of the most effective when stabilizing foundation walls, Joe went ahead and scheduled his installation date.
Our foreman, Juan Pena, and his production crew started the installation by digging 13 holes in the soil around the home. They installed a long metal rod in each hole from the soil to the foundation wall and tightened each side with a 26" x 26" anchor. This allowed the walls to straighten out and refurbish to its normal position. They finished the installation by putting the soil back in the holes and leaving the site cleaner than when they arrived. Joe is very happy with the work that was done and is happy he got a hold of American Waterworks when he did!

Tharese W. of Saint Joseph, MN had a bowing foundation wall and damp floors throughout her entire garage. She called American Waterworks to schedule a FREE Estimate to get it thoroughly diagnosed and inspected. Jared Bruns, one of our Design Specialists, went to Tharese's home, thoroughly examined the foundation wall and garage leaks, and proposed a couple of solutions that would work for her and her budget. Tharese narrowed the solutions down and chose the one that best suited her and her home repair needs. She signed Jared's proposal, wrote out a deposit check, and scheduled a date for the installation.
Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production team started the project by introducing themselves to Tharese and ensuring all of her questions were answered. After a thorough introduction, our team got to work and broke out the concrete floor perimeter of the garage, forming a waterway trench. Our team installed 110 feet of our WaterGuard Drainage System in the trench, which is made to transport water easier, prevent mud clogs, collect leakage from basement walls, and serve as an underground drain that eventually leads to outside of the home. Next, our team installed 105 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the entire wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity, give the space a neat and clean appearance, and provide the basement with extra protection. Lastly, our team installed six of our foundation repair wall anchors from the outside the foundation to inside the foundation, which stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the walls to the soil. Each anchor is connected by a steel rod to a wall plate that provides pressure against the inside of the wall. To complete the installation, our crew backfilled the soil from the anchor installation, and covered the open waterproofing gaps with pea gravel, followed by a new application of concrete. The job site looked much cleaner than when they found it, and Tharese was thrilled with the completion of the project!
