Michael H. of Bluffton, MN had water coming in through the sidewall of his basement during rainstorms, and he wanted to get it looked at by a professional. He researched contractors on HomeAdvisor and came across American Waterworks so he requested a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Roger. Roger went to Michael's home, carefully inspected his problem, and drew out a solution. Roger proposed our WaterGuard BelowFloor Drain, which prevents water clogs, serves as an underground drain and collects water from basement walls. Michael felt confident in the proposal, so he signed the contract and went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter and in front of the steps, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard, filled the open gaps with river rock, and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the basement was neater than when they found it.

Joe, from Bertha, MN, got in touch with us when he had enough of dealing with unwanted water intrusion in his basement. He wanted to know what could be done, so he called our office and we set him up with our FREE estimate. A few weeks later one of our Design Specialists, Daniel, headed out the property to assess the situation. Once he concluded his walkthrough, he informed the homeowner that his sump pump was a bit outdated, meaning it wouldn't be as affective in times of heavy rainfall. He recommended the that Joe consider getting rid of the old sump and installing our super sump system. Daniel explained that our super sump is an effective and more economical solution. It is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. Joe agreed and work began a few weeks later.
Our Foreman was able to place the new sump in a better location to make water collection easier. Once the job was completed, Joe was thrilled to know he no longer needed to worry about his sump pump!
Dave P. in Cleveland, MN noticed his patio concrete had settled and was uneven in a couple of spots. He was unhappy with the way it looked and wanted it completely level and to have the cracks sealed. After researching concrete repair contractors and receiving estimates, he decided to have American Waterworks repair his concrete.
Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete to inject a polymer foam called PolyLevel. Once the foam is injected into the concrete, the foam expands and raises it. They injected the foam into multiple spots in patio until the concrete was raised and level to its original position. Then, they caulked and sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. The process only took a couple of hours, and Dave was very pleased with the results!

A homeowner in Cleveland, MN was concerned about her front sidewalk area and how sunken many of the slabs were. She lived in a neighborhood full of kids that would use the sidewalk every day and were likely to trip on the uneven slabs eventually. She decided to find a solution to prevent any problems from happening and went online to search "concrete repair expert near me." She went through the search results and quickly was interested in the American Waterworks reviews from past jobs on our company website. Once she discovered our FREE estimate services, she signed up for her own and later met with Design Specialist Kevin Beseman. Kevin saw just what the homeowner was concerned with and assured her we had the product to eliminate the issue. Our PolyLevel solution is a high-density polyurethane formula that stabilizes and lifts sinking concrete slabs. The homeowner was relieved to hear this and agreed to the plans. One of our Foremen, Dylon Mish, and his crew went to the site and carefully installed the PolyLevel underneath the concrete sidewalk. Once everything was smoothed out, they made sure the homeowner was pleased with the results before cleaning up and leaving the home.

John G. in Janesville, MN wanted to sell his home, but he had a settling foundation. In order to get the best value for his home, he needed to repair his foundation. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation and provide a personalized solution. John was impressed with our products and the warranty behind them, so he scheduled the installation.
Our production crew started the installation by digging out the soil surrounding the home where the foundation was settling. Then, they installed heavy-duty steel brackets below the footing of the foundation. Next, rugged, interlocking steel pier sections are hydraulically driven through the bracket until bedrock or stable soil is reached. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to load-bearing soil. The installation took roughly two days to complete, but now the foundation of John’s home is permanently stabilized, and it is ready to be put on the market!
