A new homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, went down to her basement after a particularly hard rain and was shocked to notice that she had standing water in several parts of her basement. Frazzled by her discovery, she quickly took to the internet to search for Minneapolis basement waterproofing. After a few hours of combing through different websites, she landed on our page. She was thoroughly impressed by our basement waterproofing before and after images and decided to sign up for our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Derek V, headed out to the home. After conducting his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss his findings. Derek wanted to use several of our products to complement each other and most importantly, to keep water off the basement floor. First, Derek recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier be installed on the leaky walls. Derek explained that our CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that gets applied directly to unfinished basement walls, and works to direct water entering through the wall, downward, and into a perimeter drain, which, in this case, Derek wanted to be our WaterGuard. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor slab but on top of the foundation footing, keeping it out of the "mud zone" where similar drains tend to clog. Because the CleanSpace runs into the WaterGuard, it collects water entering from the wall, and small porous cracks or holes in the floor, giving the water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site. Derek noticed the lack of drainage from the basement itself and urged the homeowner to add one because of the large amount of water entering the space. Derek recommended our SuperSump sump pump, an effective and economical solution. This sump is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. Derek went on to say that the SuperSump can be installed with the optional UltraSump battery backup, which is designed to provide reliable, high-volume pumping capability when the electrical grid goes down. After Derek and the homeowner discussed options, she was thrilled to know that our solution would keep her basement dry and healthy for years to come and decided to schedule the installation for several weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Kiko P, led his team through the installation with a breeze. When they finished, they installed 14ft of WaterGuard, 1 SuperSump Sump Pump, 1 UltraSump battery backup, and 24 ft of CleanSpace throughout the basement. Now, our customer can enjoy her largest investment knowing that it is properly protected from unwanted water!

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, had a sunken concrete slab at the front step of her home and knew that it impacted the curb appeal of her home. Knowing that the issue would continue to worsen, she decided to search for concrete lifting and leveling in the area and was directed to our website. Intrigued by our PolyLevel solution, she decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions, and provide the best solution for the homeowner. During the inspection, Brad explained to the homeowner that one of the most common causes of settling slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slab upright. As this continues, gaps and holes can be found in the soil, and the slab would begin to sink. For this reason, Brad recommended our PolyLevel, our waterproof foam expanding formula that accurately lifts sinking slabs, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility and long-lasting durability. The homeowner was happy to move forward with the project and scheduled the installation date.
In a couple of weeks, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lifted the concrete slabs by drilling small holes and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected, filling in the empty spaces in the soil, causing the slab to lift. Once it is lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew sealed the joints with NexusPro.

A Coon Rapids, MN, homeowner had recently learned about the dangers of radon gas in a household. He was looking to have his home tested, so he decided to look for Minnesota radon specialists and quickly found American Waterworks. Impressed with our pictures of radon mitigation systems we had installed in his area, he decided to claim his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, was headed out to the home. When Dave arrived, the first part of his inspection included placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. This test works to record the levels of radon in the home over 48 hours, delivering an average result at the end. After Dave concluded his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner. Dave explained that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends taking action at any level higher than 4 pCi/L, and that if the test returned higher than that, he would strongly urge the homeowner to consider installing a radon mitigation system. Dave went on to say that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When the process is completed by an experienced professional, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in the interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner was pleased with Dave's evaluation and transparency about the levels in the home and ultimately decided to think about the problem and make a decision when the results returned. 48 hours later, Dave returned to the home to collect the results of the test. After discovering the levels in the home were much higher than the recommended levels, the homeowner decided to proceed with the project.
A month later, our Foreman, Dakota M, and his Co-Foreman, Mauro R, were out at the home installing the system. Now that the project is complete, our homeowner is thrilled to know that his home is circulating the cleanest air!
A homeowner in Plymouth, MN had an uneven sidewalk and was worried that it was a tripping hazard. She decided it was best to address the issue right away rather than wait, so she started searching for concrete lifting services in the area. She found our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to assess the sidewalk. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of a sinking sidewalk is soil compaction and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, the soil beneath the concrete expands and contracts, causing the concrete slab to sink and heave. For this reason, our Design Specialist suggested our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. The homeowner was grateful for his explanation and decided to move forward with the project.
In a couple of months, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The concrete is lifted by first drilling small holes into the slab. Then, the injection ports and installed, and PolyLevel is injected beneath the concrete slab. Once it has been lifted the crew will ensure that it is leveled before sealing the small holes with concrete. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. Once they were done, they cleaned their equipment and left the home.

In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation.
