A homeowner in Tomah, WI, knew they needed to have their sidewalk repaired. Knowing they could not repair it themselves, the homeowner began searching for a professional opinion. During their search, the homeowner came across one of our PolyLevel installations and was in awe of the process. The homeowner took a closer look into the services offered by us, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. When the estimate was finalized, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Mike, to investigate the status of the sidewalk. When Mike arrived, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began his evaluation. Mike found that the sidewalk was sinking due to soil settlement. To stop the sidewalk from sinking further, Mike suggested that the sidewalk be lifted and leveled. After deliberating all their options, the homeowner agreed and production commenced. Our Foreman, Jordan, and his crew arrived at the home and got their materials ready for the PolyLevel installation. The PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution. The crew inserted the PolyLevel underneath the entire sidewalk leading into the home. Once the PolyLevel was installed, the crew shifted their focus to inserting the NexusPro Solution into the joints of the sidewalk. Once the NexusPro installation was complete, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were impressed with the excellent job completed by the crew. A homeowner in Tomah, WI was frustrated because of the large bump that had appeared in between his front walkway and steps as a result of the concrete slabs sinking and cracking. The problem had continued to get worse over the years and he knew it was time to find a solution. The homeowner was first prepared to take on the project himself, so he searched "do it yourself sidewalk leveling." The American Waterworks company name stood out to him because of our quality products and FREE estimates, and he signed up for his own estimate. Later, one of our Design Specialists, Ross Johnson, went to the home to inspect the concrete and he determined that our PolyLevel and NexusPro products were the perfect answer for the situation. After the homeowner agreed, our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his crew visited the site to carry out the installations. Cy S. in Viroqua, WI contacted American Waterworks because he had water in his basement and his new addition. He met with one of our Design Specialists, who proposed that the best solution was to install a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system and a SuperSump sump pump.
Our Foreman, Arturo Mares, and his crew installed our WaterGuard drainage system. They removed a section of the concrete floor around the perimeter and created a drainage trench. The WaterGuard is then placed within the trench and filled back with rock to fill the gaps. They also installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls to protect the room from moisture and potential mold growth. The encapsulation system will now guide water leaking in through the foundation walls and redirect it to their WaterGuard perimeter floor drainage system and ultimately drain into the SuperSump sump pump. Cy is pleased that his basement is now a dry, healthier space and he is glad he chose to invest in the long-term protection of his home.
