John, a homeowner in Wheaton, MN, needed a solution for his basement water issues. With heavy rainfall, water entered the basement where the floor and foundation meet, and egress windows were filling up with water. After looking around he went on the American Waterworks website and we set him up with a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian. Ian went to his home to inspect the leaks and devise a solution. John got all of his questions answered and was confident in Ian's proposal, so he moved forward with the project.
First, Foreman and his production crew started the installation by completing a half-wall demo and then breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System along the East wall of the basement where issues were present. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. To complete the WaterGuard project, Zachary and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Are you having water problems in your basement? Next, our TripleSafe Sump Pump System was implemented in the basement. Our TripleSafe Sump Pump has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. The TripleSafe Sump Pump also comes with a battery backup which helps when the home may lose power; the sump pump will still function and drain the excess water. To complete the project, the team covered the gaps with engineer fill, preventing soil from entering the Sump Basket and damaging the Pump System. Then they apply a new layer of concrete to give a finishing look. Finally, the team worked to fix the leaky basement windows with the WellDuct® Basement Window System to redirect flooding to a perimeter drain or drywell.
Once the job was done, our customer was happy to know that his basement had been transformed and he no longer had to worry about water intrusion!
A Wheaton, MN, homeowner had been keeping an eye on his foundation for some time. The homeowner had been aware of his foundation wall cracking in several places, but had been overwhelmed by the project and let it slip through the cracks. He decided to find a MN foundation repair company and quickly found our website. He was impressed with other work we had done in his area and decided to sign up for his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist went out to the home. When he arrived, he got right to work inspecting the home foundation. When he was done, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. He began by saying that foundation walls are not designed to withstand loads from the side, so when the pressure exceeds what it can withstand, it's not uncommon to see cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom, and/or tilting inward at the top. He went on to say that he completely understands being overwhelmed by a large project and wanted the homeowner to know that he had options. Our Design Specialist went on to say that, in this case, he was recommending our PowerBrace system. The PowerBrace™ is a patented foundation wall repair system that's designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. This innovative system can also be tightened over time to meet the needs of the home. The homeowner was grateful for our Design Specialist's honest and transparent proposal and signed on the spot.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Emmanuel A, and his team effortlessly installed 9 of our PowerBrace's throughout the basement, successfully restoring our customer's confidence in his home!

A homeowner in Hope, ND, decided to investigate the status of the crawl space in their home. As soon as they entered the crawlspace, dust and dirt erupted in their face. Disgusted with the status of the crawlspace, the homeowner wanted to encapsulate it. After seeing a before and after advertisment on Facebook, the homeowner decided to sign up for a FREE estimate with American Waterworks. We sent out our Design Specialist, Kole, to investigate the status of the crawlspace. Following his evaluation, Kole suggested utilizing Foamax and CleanSpace to close off the crawlspace. The homeowners agreed and we sent our crews out. Our Foreman, Domenic, and his crew started by removing the plastic and insulation on the walls. Then, the crew removed any debris in the crawl space. Once the crawlspace was cleaned out, the crew installed drainage matting and laid CleanSpace to seal the crawl space. Next, the crew applied Foamax on all interior foundation walls except where the crawlspace and basement meet. Finally, the crew applied SprayFoam on the exterior walls, except where the crawlspace and basement met. Once the installation was complete, the homeowners were pleased that their crawlspace was encapsulated. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for a FREE estimate today!
Chris K. in Lucan, MN contacted American Waterworks because the sidewalk and walkway in front of his house had sunk several inches. It was creating a trip hazard, and Chris wanted a quick, and minimally invasive solution. He started doing some research online and was impressed with our PolyLevel concrete repair option. Our Design Specialist, Reed Hudson, met with Chris and proposed a plan to fix the problem areas.
Our production crew drilled small holes throughout the concrete slabs that needed to be raised. Next, they injected the foam into the holes until the slabs were raised back to their original position. They covered up the holes with concrete and then sealed the cracks in the concrete with our Nexus Pro sealant. Chris was impressed with the installation, and is glad he chose American Waterworks to restore his concrete!
Tim and Jerry A. of Wood Lake, MN had a gap between their garage floor and their garage wall. They needed to find a foundation repair contractor that could pull their wall toward their garage floor. They did their research and found our website. They scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist team. After our Design Specialist inspected their problem and proposed a solution, Tim and Jerry had a date scheduled for the installation.
Our Foreman and his crew installed four of our wall anchors to pull the foundation wall closer to the garage floor. This system is installed by galvanized anchors, steel rods, and anchor plates, which provides the clamping pressure needed to bring the wall back to its natural position. Tim and Jerry were happy with the work that was done and couldn't believe that their wall was finally back to normal!
