A homeowner in Fountain City, WI, was concerned with the safety of their sidewalk. Unsure of who to work with, the homeowner began doing research into various concrete repair companies. The homeowner went to a local Facebook group to ask for any recommendations, several individuals suggested that the homeowner work with us, American Waterworks. After hearing so many referrals, the homeowner decided to go to our website and check out the types of concrete repair services we offer. After further investigation, the homeowner was impressed by our company and decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was made, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Mike, one of our Design Specialists. Mike greeted the homeowner and started the evaluation of the concrete. Following his detailed analysis, Mike determined that the sidewalk was sinking. To stop the sinking from continuing, Mike recommended lifting and leveling the concrete sidewalk. The homeowner knew this was the best option for their home, so they decided to follow Mike's suggestions. After receiving the stamp of approval, our Foreman Patrick, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. When they arrived, Patrick and the crew started by inserting the PolyLevel underneath the entire sidewalk and front of the driveway. After the PolyLevel was inserted, the crew shifted their focus to fixing the cracks and bad joints in their concrete. Once the lifting and leveling job was complete, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is glad to assist another customer in accomplishing their concrete goals.

Heather M. in Ionia, IA had a sump pump that was unable to keep up with the amount of water that needed to be discharged from her basement. Water had started pooling on her basement floor and she knew she needed to seek help from a professional waterproofing company before more damage occurred. She found American Waterworks’ website and was happy to see that we offer free estimate. We sent our Design Specialist, Mike Radosevich, to her home to evaluate her situation and find a solution for her. Mike discussed her needs, answered her questions, and developed a thorough plan to waterproof her basement. She was happy with the proposal Mike developed, so they set a date for the installation.
Our team installed our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of her basement, which led to the new TripleSafe sump pump that we installed. The TripleSafe has three layers of protection, so Heather can rest easy knowing that her sump pump will not fail her this time. Once the water is guided to the sump pump, it is then pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Our team also installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier which protects the walls from water seeping in and the potential growth of mold. The combination of these waterproofing solutions ensure that Heather’s basement will now be a clean, dry and livable space for many years to come!

Loretta K. of Independence, WI had water seeping through her basement cracks. She did some research on our website and filled out our FREE Estimate online form. Our Design Specialist, Charles Haldeman, went to her home to inspect the water problem and come up with a solution. Loretta was comfortable with his proposal, so she set up an installation date.
Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his production team started the installation by cutting out the concrete perimeter of the basement, forming a trench. Next, our team applied 86 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System around the basement walls, which is made to prevent mold and humidity problems and gives the room a clean and bright appearance. Next, our crew installed our WaterGuard System in the trench, which is designed to collect water seepage from basement walls and acts as an underground drain. Lastly, Dylon and his installed out SuperSump Plus M53 sump pump in the corner. Our sump pumps are made to pump water out fast and efficiently while keeping basements dry for many years. To complete the project, our team filled the open gaps with rock and re-applied new concrete. Loretta was extremely satisfied with the work and her peace of mind is restored!
Roger L. owned a home in Strum, WI that he was using as an income property. He decided that he wanted to sell the house, so he didn’t have to deal with renting it out anymore. He knew that before he could put it on the market, he would have to make some repairs to the home, including repairing the foundation. He had two cracked walls in his basement, one of which had started bowing inward. Over the years he noticed it gradually getting worse and worse and he decided it was time to call American Waterworks to learn more about our foundation repair solutions and get a FREE estimate.
One of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, went onsite to inspect his walls and develop the right solution for his specific needs. Rick concluded that the best repair option would be to install wall anchors, and Roger agreed. A couple of weeks later, our production crew arrived at the home to start the installation. They drilled small holes through the damaged block foundation and inserted long metal rods through the wall and into the soil surrounding the home. They secured both ends of the metal rods with anchor plates and tightened them as far as they could go. Once the anchors were tightened, the walls began to straighten and stabilize. The anchors should continue to be tightened over to time to continuously improve the strength of the foundation.
