A homeowner in Jim Falls, WI, noticed a significant gap between their driveway apron and garage floor. Not wanting the issue to worsen, the homeowner knew they needed to look for additional assistance. To narrow their search, the homeowner looked on the internet to find the best-rated concrete repair near them. At the top was us, American Waterworks, so they decided to investigate the services that we offer. After seeing our impressive list of services, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialist, Kyle, to the home to complete the estimate. Kyle greeted the homeowner and began his estimate of the driveway. Following his inspection of the driveway, Kyle determined that the driveway apron was sinking into the ground. To stop the driveway from sinking further, Kyle recommended lifting the driveway apron to match the garage floor. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed with Kyle's suggestions. Kyle directed the plans to our Foreman, Sam, and his crew. After Sam and his crew arrived at the home, they began the PolyLevel installation. Sam and the crew inserted the PolyLevel on the south side of the apron. After the PolyLevel was successfully installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. American Waterworks is happy to lift and level another home's driveway.
The customer was concerned about water problems and a bowing foundation wall. American Waterworks was able to straighten the wall, waterproof the foundation, and apply a vapor barrier.

A current customer from Plainview, MN had several of our products installed throughout the basement of her home. During one of her annual maintenance visits, one of our Service Technicians expressed concern that her home might be subject to Radon gas. He explained that this hazardous, invisible, and odorless gas was the second leading cause of lung cancer behind cigarette smoking. She agreed to have her home checked using one of our leave-behind kits. Our Service Tech, Darin, set up the kit and after 48-72 hours she sent it in to obtain the results, which came back at 5.1 pCi/L. Once her results came back, Darin explained to her that The Environmental Protection Agency recommends taking action for anything above 4 pCi/L. He went on to explain that her 1 pCi/L of Radon is equivalent to smoking 2.5 cigarettes. When she wondered what could be done, Darin suggested having a Radon Mitigation system installed. He explained to her that once the system was installed, it would work to pull Radon from the house, pipe it upwards through venting, and push it out and away from the home. She agreed with Darin's recommendation and work began shortly after. Our Foreman, Dakota, and his crew quickly and efficiently installed the system and now our customer can go back to enjoying her home without worries about toxic Radon gas pollution!
