A homeowner in Mendota, MN, knew it was time to repair their sunken walkway. Hoping to avoid total concrete replacement, the homeowner hoped to find a professional who could provide them with a proper solution. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner looked into "sunken concrete repair near me," and one of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar ratings and reviews, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Kyle. A few days later, Kyle promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the exterior concrete. During the inspection, Kyle confirmed that several areas were suffering from settlement. To prevent the issue from worsening, Kyle recommended inserting PolyLevel, a polyurthane foam injection solution, below the struggling slabs. Knowing this was the best plan of action, Kyle agreed and worked with the homeowner to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Troy, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Troy and his crew started by inserting PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. Once the PolyLevel was secured, the crew shifted to repairing the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Darin S., arrived at the home to thoroughly inspect the concrete. During the inspection, he noticed that there was some soil washout underneath the slabs. He explained to the homeowner that soil washout is when water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slabs upright. To fix this issue, Darin recommended our PolyLevel, a waterproof expanding foam to lift the slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant to seal the joints and repair the cracks. The homeowner happily agreed and scheduled the installation date.
In about a month, Sam K., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. PolyLevel is installed by drilling small holes into the concrete slabs and inserting injection ports into the holes. PolyLevel is then injected using an injection gun, filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the slab has been lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, they used NexusPro to seal the joints and repair cracks.

A homeowner from Inver Grove Heights, MN, was stuck in a conundrum over her front walkway concrete. It had cracked, creating a giant trip hazard and eye-sore. The homeowner knew that if she let the problem worsen, she may have no choice but to fully replace and re-pour the concrete. Not wanting the cost, mess, and hassle of pouring a new walkway, she decided to search for alternate remedies. Upon recommendation from home improvement websites, she decided to give us a call and claim her FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Mitch S, headed out to the home to complete his inspection.
Once Mitch concluded his walk-through, he met with the homeowner to give her his recommendation. He informed her that while installing new concrete was an option, so was lifting and leveling the slab with our PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it is injected beneath concrete, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back to its desired spot. Mitch went on to say that we finished all of our concrete lifting projects with NexusPro. A silicone-base sealant, NexusPro gets applied to all joints and cracks in the concrete to prevent any unwanted elements from penetrating the slab and protecting it from further sinking. The homeowner needed some time to think about the right choice for her family. A few weeks later, she called back and got her project with us scheduled.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan S, and his team made quick work of the installation, carefully monitoring the lifting process to ensure the slab returned to its original resting spot. Once the job was done, our customer was thrilled to know she no longer needed to worry about a cracked walkway!
