Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Our Foreman, Raul Barroso, and his production team applied 960 feet of our CleanSpace Encapsulation Vapor Barrier around the whole crawl space perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent humidity and mold problems, cover any divots or holes, and gives the space a clean and neat appearance. A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, noticed a musty smell coming from their basement. Unsure of where the smell was coming from, the homeowner decided to have a professional come out to the home to investigate. During their search, the homeowner came across our high reviews and ratings on HomeAdvisor. Impressed by our ratings, the homeowner decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan, to the home to determine the source of the odor. After he completed the inspection, Dylan determined that the musty odor was coming from the crawl space in the home. Dylan recommended a solution that would stop the odor. After hearing Dylan's solution, the homeowners determined that this was their best option. Once they agreed, the plans were then directed to the assigned crew, and production preparations commenced. Our Foreman, Victor, and his crew arrived at the home at began the encapsulation process. First, the crew cleaned all the debris out of the crawl space. Then, the crew installed the drainage matting and CleanSpace on the floors and walls. Next, the crew installed foamax on the block walls. Finally, spray foam was inserted into the rim joist. The crew successfully encapsulated the entire crawl space. The homeowners were thankful that the musty smell had been removed from the basement. Michel's inspection began down in the crawl space, where he ran several tests to figure out whether or not the space was energy efficient. When he concluded, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Michel took his time to create a plan for the homeowner. His plan began with recommending our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly on the unfinished walls of the crawl space. Of its functions, the most notable is that it effectively seals off your crawl space, making it inhospitable for pests, deterring any excess water that enters the space, and making the living space more comfortable by cutting heating and cooling costs. Michel went on to say that he had found signs of water intrusion, so along with the CleanSpace, he was recommending our drainage matting. This dimpled matting is laid down on the crawl space floor underneath the CleanSpace, to give water entering the space a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. Michel noted the crawl space lacked a means of getting rid of water, so his final recommendation was our SmartDrain. The SmartDrain alerts you to a leak with an audible alarm and drains the water away to a drywall under the CleanSpace liner to protect against property damage. Running a condensation line allows for furnace or dehumidifier drainage. The homeowner was thrilled with Michel's recommendations and signed on the spot. 

When the day of the installation rolled around, our Foreman, Jeromy A, and his crew wasted no time getting to work. When they had finished, they had successfully installed 306 sqft of CleanSpace, 240 sqft of Drainage Matting, and 1 SmartDrain. Now, our customer can rest comfortably, knowing that her crawl space is healthy and efficient!

In the trench, our team installed 54 feet of our WaterGuard System which serves as an underground drain and collects water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our SuperSump Pump M53, made to pump water out efficiently and keep areas clean for long periods of time. Lastly, our team applied 189 feet of our Foamax Wall Panels around the wall perimeter. Our Foamax reduces moisture condensation and provides extra comfort from any further damage. To complete the work, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Steven and Joan's peace of mind was and still is restored!
