Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

We sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to her home to look at her crawl space and give her a FREE estimate. Pete was able to develop a solid plan to waterproof and encapsulate her crawl space, so she would not have to deal with these frustrations again. She was pleased with Pete's proposal, so an installation date was set. 

Our production team installed a SmartDrain crawl space sump pump, SilverGlo, our TerraBlock vapor barrier, CleanSpace and an EverLast crawl space door. The combination of these crawl space repair products created a clean, dry and energy efficient space for Pat. Ron H. in Elkton, MN had a musty smell coming from his dirt crawl space. He also noticed that it was very humid and he was concerned that energy was being lost through the crawl space. We also confirmed that energy was being wasted because his crawl space was not insulated. Our production team installed drainage matting along the dirt floor and installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the crawl space. Then, they encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier system which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. Lastly, they placed a SaniDry dehumidifier in the crawl space to control the humidity. The process took a couple of days to complete, but Ron now has a bright, clean and healthy crawl space. He is also saving money on his energy bill each month.

Michel's inspection began down in the crawl space, where he ran several tests to figure out whether or not the space was energy efficient. When he concluded, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Michel took his time to create a plan for the homeowner. His plan began with recommending our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets installed directly on the unfinished walls of the crawl space. Of its functions, the most notable is that it effectively seals off your crawl space, making it inhospitable for pests, deterring any excess water that enters the space, and making the living space more comfortable by cutting heating and cooling costs. Michel went on to say that he had found signs of water intrusion, so along with the CleanSpace, he was recommending our drainage matting. This dimpled matting is laid down on the crawl space floor underneath the CleanSpace, to give water entering the space a channel to flow freely to a disposal site. Michel noted the crawl space lacked a means of getting rid of water, so his final recommendation was our SmartDrain. The SmartDrain alerts you to a leak with an audible alarm and drains the water away to a drywall under the CleanSpace liner to protect against property damage. Running a condensation line allows for furnace or dehumidifier drainage. The homeowner was thrilled with Michel's recommendations and signed on the spot. 

When the day of the installation rolled around, our Foreman, Jeromy A, and his crew wasted no time getting to work. When they had finished, they had successfully installed 306 sqft of CleanSpace, 240 sqft of Drainage Matting, and 1 SmartDrain.
