Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Tyson C. in Walnut Grove, MN had three cracked walls in his basement. They had just started bowing and he knew it was only going to get worse. Our production team installed 26 wall anchors along the three walls. Rods are drilled through the brick walls and into the soil. Then, the anchors are secured with plates on each end of the rod. Once we tightened the anchors, Tyson was able to see a dramatic change in the stability of his walls. A home in Renville, MN had major structural issues in the basement and the bank that owned the home knew that they value would be decreased if it was not repaired. The bank called American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew,  to the home to meet with a bank representative. Shane designed a plan to permanently repair the foundation using wall anchors, and the bank approved of the solution, so we scheduled an installation.

Our crew drilled long, metal rods through the block foundation wall and into the soil surrounding the home. They secured the rods by installing anchor plates on each end and tightening them as far as they could go. The anchors should continue to be tightened over time as well to help straighten the wall back to its original position. Our wall anchors are also backed by a lifetime warranty that is transferable between homeowners. The foundation has been permanently stabilized.

The foundation of this home was bowing and showing significant signs of inward movement.  American Waterworks installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the bowing walls, and used the system's clamping pressure to stabilize and restore the wall.

Jolyn N. in Willmar, MN was concerned about a large crack in her foundation and water seeping into her basement. After being referred to our company, we sent our Design Specialist, Jeremy Radtke, to her home to complete a FREE estimate. Jolyn was happy with the solution Jeremy provided, and she decided to move forward with the project. 

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his crew started installing our waterproofing system by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed our SuperSump sump pump and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system along the walls. The combination of these waterproofing products ensure that water will be properly discharged from her basement and that it will remain a dry and functional space. 

Then, our crew installed 16 Geo-Lock wall anchors along the damaged foundation by drilling small holes through the block into the soil surrounding the home. They dug small holes in the yard that lined up with the anchor rods, and they secured them from the outside and inside of the home with anchor plates. They tightened them as far as they would go to stabilize the walls and to halt any further movement. The installation took two days to complete, and Jolyn’s peace of mind has been restored knowing that her foundation is permanently secure!
