Wilma S. in Mason City, IA contacted American Waterworks after being referred by a previous satisfied customer. Wilma had water seeping into her basement where the floor met the wall. It was starting to cause damage to her property, and she wanted a permanent solution. She met with one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, who evaluated the situation and developed a unique plan to keep Wilma’s basement dry. She approved of the presentation and moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Kiko Pena, and his production crew began the project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying 104 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system. Our WaterGuard system is made with an anti-clog design, collects leaking water from walls, and includes a written lifetime warranty. Next, the crew installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Wilma is happy with the finished project, and glad she chose a permanent solution.
Bob E. in Mason City, IA had a sunken concrete driveway and was tired of dealing with the trip hazard and the large bump every time he drove in and out of his garage. He noticed one of our yard signs in his neighbor’s yard and was directed to the American Waterworks website. He was intrigued by our PolyLevel foam concrete solution, so he contacted us to receive a FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Ryan Powell, to meet with Bob and provide a solution. He was glad to hear that our concrete repair solution is affordable, durable and non-invasive, so he scheduled the installation.
One of our PolyLevel experts, Brandon Wiskow, drilled penny-sized holes into the concrete slabs where they needed to be raised. Then, he injected the PolyLevel foam until the concrete driveway was raised and level with the concrete garage. Lastly, he sealed the cracks with our Nexus Pro sealant and cleaned up his work area. Bob was thrilled to see the results immediately and is glad he chose American Waterworks to repair his concrete!

Mrs. H of Mason City, IA had cracked foundation walls in her basement and she was worried about the stability and structural hold of her home. She got in touch with our office and scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist. Our Design Specialist went to her home, carefully inspected her foundation walls, and drew up a solution that worked for her and her needs. Mrs. H was confident in our proposal, so she moved forward with the project and scheduled a date for the installation.
Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his production team began the project by digging six holes outside of the home, beyond the foundation. Next, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of each rod, our team installed an anchor plate to hold the rod in place. From the inside of the basement, our team installed a GeoLock Wall Anchor on each rod to stabilize the foundation wall. This combination allows the wall to straighten back into its original position. To complete the installation, our team backfilled the holes, packed the dirt with soil, and ensured the yard looked better than when they found it. Mrs. H had a wonderful experience and was very satisfied with the work that was done!

She was confident in Ryan's proposal, so she went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Jeromy, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor where the floor and wall meet, forming a trench. Inside the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain. Our WaterGuard is the most common interior drainage system that we provide for homeowners because of its easily accessible service ports, its ability to prevent water clogs, and its design to collect water from basement walls. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the wall perimeter, which prevents mold and humidity, and saves money on energy costs. To finish the installation, our team filled the open gaps with river rock and added new concrete over them. Alanna was happy with the work that was done, and had a great experience!
