He called for a FREE estimate, and we sent our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, to meet with John and evaluate the situation. 

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production crew were successfully able to stabilize John’s foundation with installing 5 Geo-Lock Anchors along the bowing basement wall. Our Wall Anchor System permanently stops the inward movement of walls by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed soil beyond the foundation. Anchors can be installed year-round with minimal disturbance to the lawn and landscaping. John was impressed with the quick installation and is grateful to have restored the value of his home! 

A homeowner from Plum City, WI, was reading a local newspaper when she found an article on radon gas. She had never heard of radon before, but from what she read, she understood that the dangers of radon were very high. She decided to find a radon mitigation specialist in her area to help restore peace of mind in her home. When she found our website, she signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Chuck H, was headed out to the home. In the meantime, the homeowner headed to her local home improvement store and purchased an at-home radon level test. When the test returned with high levels, she knew she had made the right choice by contacting us. 

When Chuck arrived, she informed him that the levels in the home were high, so Chuck began his inspection by scouting out the best spot for a mitigation system. When he was finished, Chuck met with the homeowner and informed her that he was strongly recommending a radon mitigation system. He explained that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. He finished by saying that, when installed by an experienced professional, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health safety agencies. The homeowner liked the sound of Chuck's plan, and the two worked together to find a date for the installation. 

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Dakota, led his team through a successful installation of the radon mitigation system. Now, our customer has restored faith in the air circulating her home! 

Ann H. in Lyle, MN was suffering from a wet basement. She started looking for a local waterproofing company and she found American Waterworks’ website. After reading about our waterproofing services, she contacted us to receive a free estimate. One of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, went to her home to inspect her basement and design a solution. Our production team started the process by removing the carpet and the concrete for the WaterGuard drainage system and sump pump to be installed. The WaterGuard was laid on the perimeter of her basement and the sump pump was installed in the corner. The drainage system now properly drains water to the sump pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line to be expelled from the home. A Lyle, MN, homeowner was facing an issue with his basement. His old sump pump had been cycling for days, even though there had been no rain in the last few months. Exhausted of hearing the system working overtime, he began to look for sump pump repairs near him. When he found American Waterworks, he figured signing up for one of our FREE estimates couldn't do any harm. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist headed out to the home. 

Once he completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to inform him that we could address the issue using our TripleSafe sump pump. Our Design Specialist explained that the TripleSump is the most reliable pump in our lineup, providing three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe boasts a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over.  Our Design Specialist also recommended the addition of our Ultra Sump back-up system, which can pump out an excess of 11,500 gallons of water on a fully charged battery, which is enough water to fill a small swimming pool. The homeowner agreed to the work and scheduled the project for several weeks later.

Chris P. in Grafton, IA had an old sump pump and a Beaver System in his home, but he still had water leaking through the foundation into his finished basement. Unfortunately, the water had caused damaged to his drywall and flooring. He contacted American Waterworks and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, to his home to provide a permanent solution. He approved of the plan and moved forward with an installation date. 

Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his production crew removed the damaged portion of the drywall and then removed the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for our WaterGuard drainage system. They laid the WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, so the water would be properly guided to our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. Then, they filled back the gaps around the WaterGuard with rock and replaced the concrete. They installed our EverLast half-wall restoration system, which includes metal studs and an inorganic, mold-resistant wall product that replaces the bottom 32" of the drywall. This is a permanent solution for water-damaged dry wall! Chris was pleased with the results and glad he can now enjoy a clean, healthy basement!
