Clint R. of Kilkenny, MN had a two-inch stoop from his patio to his step, causing safety concerns for himself and visitors. He went to his local home show in Owatonna to see if there were any contractors that could help him. He saw our booth there and talked with our Design Specialist, Nate Proper. After an in-depth conversation about his concrete problem, Clint scheduled a FREE Estimate. Nate inspected the problem, came up with a solution, and Clint followed through with the plan.
Our Foreman, Brandon Wiskow, injected 104 pounds of our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to raise and stabilize the surface. Our PolyLevel is a dense, unique foam that cures quick and adjusts within minutes. Clint was able to use his concrete the day off and was extremely satisfied with the turnout!
A homeowner from Kilkenny, MN, was down in her basement one day when she noticed a crack she hadn't seen before. The crack resembled a staircase and ran up the length of the wall. Upon further investigation, the homeowner was alarmed to find several of the same cracks on that wall. Fearing what a cracking foundation could mean for her home, she decided to find a company that could shed some light on the issue. One night, she saw our TV ad and decided to get in touch. She scheduled her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Eric H, headed out to the home.
Eric got right to work conducting his inspection. When he finished, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. Eric explained that foundation walls are designed to support loads from above, not from the side. When side pressure on your walls exceeds their ability to withstand the force, they begin to crack, bow, slide in at the bottom, and/or tilt inward at the top. Eric's recommendation, our GeoLock wall anchors, can counteract soil pressure by anchoring walls to stable, undisturbed soil outside the home. Thanks to threaded rods that extend through the wall, wall anchors can even be used to straighten walls in many cases. The homeowner liked the sound of Eric's plan and scheduled the installation for some time later.
On the day of the installation, our production team, led by their Foreman, Juan P, ended up installing 5 of our GeoLock anchors along the problem wall. Now, our customer can enjoy her basement knowing she conquered her foundation cracks!

Carrie and Justin R. of Sebeka, MN had water leaking into their basement, causing them to worry about their basement and other kinds of water damage. They heard about American Waterworks and got in contact with our office staff. We set them up with a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz. Ian went to their home, examined the problems, and came up with a solution that fit their needs. After a two-hour inspection and a written estimate, Carrie and Justin were comfortable with Ian's design and proposal, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team began the process by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System which is made to prevent water clogs, serve as an underground drain, and collect water seepage from basement walls. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier which is made to prevent any mold or humidity build-up, cover any holes or divots, and give the space a neat and clean appearance. Lastly, Corey and his crew installed our SuperSump Plus M53 sump pump which is made to keep basements dry for long periods of time. To complete the project, our team covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. Carrie and Justin were very happy with the repairs and had a great experience from start to finish!

Rita H. in Rockford, IA was tired of dealing with a wet basement after every heavy rain and snow melt. It was starting to cause damage to her home, and she knew she needed to find a permanent solution. She contacted American Waterworks, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Pete Wangen, to meet with her and propose a unique solution for her home.
Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production crew installed 112 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system around the perimeter of the basement, and our recommended TripleSafe sump pump in the corner. Water is now properly guided through the WaterGuard to the sump pump, and from there, it is expelled from the home. Rita was happy with the results, and glad she chose to invest in the long-term protection of her home.
