Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Allen in Madelia, MN had pests entering is home through his dirt crawl space. He also was noticing his floor sagging and high levels of humidity coming from that space. He contacted American Waterworks to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation solutions and receive a FREE estimate. We sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his crawl space and provide him with a personalized solution. Our Specialist recommended having our CleanSpace vapor barrier, spray foam rim joist insulation and SmartJacks installed. Allen agreed that our solution was the best fit for his needs, so he scheduled the installation.

Our production crew removed the debris from his crawl space and then installed the SmartJacks to support the floor beams and keep the floor above sturdy. Then, they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system on the dirt floor and the sides of the crawl space. This helps to keep pests and moisture out, which reduces humidity. Lastly, they sprayed our spray foam insulation in the rim joists of the crawl space to completely seal off the space and prevent any pests or water from entering. Allen was pleased with the result and is glad he can enjoy a stable, healthier crawl space for years to come!

A New Ulm, MN, homeowner was enjoying a quiet morning at home when he walked across his main level floor and noticed an area that appeared to be sagging lower than the rest. She was uneasy about what this could mean for the home's structural integrity, and decided to look into Minnesota foundation contractors. When she found our website, she signed up for her FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dylan W, headed out to the home. 

When Dylan arrived at the home, he was directed down to the crawl space, where he would spend much of his inspection. When Dylan finished, he circled back with the homeowners to deliver his findings. Dylan explained that the crawl space could benefit from extra support, which he recommended to be our SmartJack system. Paul and Lisa S. of Annandale, MN had dirty, musty and moldy crawl space that needed to be inspected. They called American Waterworks to schedule a FREE Estimate, so we sent out our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. After an in-depth inspection, Paul and Lisa were confident with the proposal, so they got an installation date scheduled. 

Our Foreman, Cory Sather, and his production team began the crawl space waterproofing project by removing anything that was in the way. They installed 775 feet of our TerraBlock, which serves as a puncture-resistant insulation and provides the ultimate moisture protection. Next, Cory and his team applied 425 feet of our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier on top of the TerraBlock, which prevents mold and humidity, and it gives the space a clean and bright appearance. Paul and Lisa were both glad we were able to restore their peace of mind! 

A homeowner in Clear Lake, MN, decided to take a look at their crawl space and noticed it was in rough shape. Instead of ignoring the issue, the homeowner wanted to take action and have it repaired. Once Shane arrived, he introduced himself to the homeowner and began the crawl space inspection. Shane discovered that the foundation was failing and needed to be permanently stabilized. Additionally, he found that the crawl space should be encapsulated. Shane told the homeowner of his findings and also provided them with a solution to revive the crawl space. The homeowner agreed with the plan of action and production commenced. Our Foreman Raul, and his crew traveled to the home and started by making sure the crawl space was ready for the PowerBrace installation. The crew installed eighteen PowerBraces around the entire crawl space perimeter. Once the PowerBraces were installed, the crew laid the Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. Next, the crew installed CleanSpace on the crawl floor to cover the Drainage Matting. Foamax is installed on the crawl space walls to ensure the crawl space stays insulated. Finally, the crew put the TripleSafe sump pump in place in the corner of the crawl space. The homeowner was amazed by the crawl space transformation.
